Basic Food Storage Plans for 1 Month, 3 Months, and 1 Year

Any food storage plan can be altered or adjusted based on individual tastes and preferences, but I've found that the majority of people just don't know where to get started.

I've compiled a few options for food storage beginners to give them an idea of what a 1 month, 3 month and 1 year basic plan really consists of.
I've also included the current price for these plans (thanks to the wonderful Black Friday Sale), just to give you an idea of how attainable these options really are.
My point: Food storage doesn't have to be expensive - especially when you stick to the Basic 6.

1 Month, 1 Person, 2000 calories per day:
$95.49 - $107.09
That's $100 per month, or $3.33 per day

Option #1: $107.09
2 #10 cans white rice
1 #10 can quick oats
2 #10 cans black beans
1 #10 can cane sugar
1 pantry can salt
1 pantry can butter powder

Option #2: $95.49
1 #10 can cornmeal
2 #10 cans white flour
2 #10 cans white rice
1 #10 can pinto beans
1#10 can lentils
1 #10 can cane sugar
1 pantry can shortening powder
1 pantry can salt

1 person, 3 months, 2000 calories per day:
$299.74

A combination of both above plans, still only $3.33 per day
1 #10 can cornmeal
3 #10 cans white flour
3 #10 cans quick oats
6 #10 cans (1 case) white rice
2 #10 cans black beans
2 #10 cans pinto beans
2 #10 cans lentils
1 #10 can butter powder
3 #10 cans cane sugar
1 #10 can salt

1 Year, 1 Person 2000 Calories / Day:
$756.80
That's $63 per month, or $2.07 per day!  Only $0.69 per meal!
1 bucket white flour
2 buckets quick oats
3 buckets white rice
1 bucket pinto beans
1 bucket lentils
1 bucket cane sugar
2 #10 cans shortening powder
2 #10 cans butter powder
2 #10 cans salt
1 pantry can yeast

Anytime you can purchase larger amounts (or buckets), your price goes down drastically.

Right now is one of the best times to stock up due to the Biggest Food Storage Sale of the Year, but most of these items can be acquired fairly easily at any time.
If you are looking to get started but can't afford it all at the moment, here are the best things to take advantage of this weekend:
lentils (50% off)
pinto beans (40% off)
salt, cane sugar (20% off)
