Twice a year I put together a discounted group food storage order. I usually do this among personal friends/family and existing customers, but I'm trying something new offering it here on the blog.
How does it work?
Companies will often times have large food storage packages available at amazing prices. The incentive is for people to purchase everything at once, and save a bundle of money. The down side is that most people don't have the means necessary to purchase everything they want all at once. That's where the group deal comes in.
I organize a group of interested people, and we all take advantage of these deals by purchasing together. This way, everyone gets the sale prices without having to buy more or spend more than what they need.
(For example, if you were to buy 1 can of freeze dried turkey dices, they run for about $70! However, If you are willing to purchase this item in a package, each can is available for $36. That's almost 50% off!)
Who can participate?
Everyone is able to take advantage of the savings! The more people we can get, the more likely we are to meet our quota of items.
What if we don't meet our quota?
Because different items can be paired together in different packages, it is rare that we don't meet the quota needed. Even if this is the case, I purchase the additional necessary items myself, so everyone goes away happy!
How do I pay for my items?
Because these items all have to be placed collectively as 1 order to get the discount, credit cards are not an option at this time (unless you are interested in purchasing the complete set on your own). Cash or personal checks are accepted. I then personally purchase the items and distribute.
How will I get my items?
If you are local to me (anywhere from Sandy to Provo, UT) I will personally deliver your items to you.
Can I still participate if I am not local?
Yes! Contact me (myfamilyprepared@gmail.com) and we will discuss payment arrangements as well as shipping costs. (Pickup from me directly is also an option.)
How long are you taking orders?
All orders and money need to be submitted and received to me by September 15th.
When will my items be delivered?
I will arrange with you for a drop off time between September 16-19th.
What are the sales being offered?
The following items are available for group purchase. Each item is sold in a #10 can (gallon size container). Shelf life is included for each item. Prices include tax and delivery (for local participants).
Freeze dried fruit: $22 each
(25 year shelf life)
Strawberry, raspberry, blackberry, blueberry, peach, apples, pineapple, mango, banana, or apricot
Freeze dried meat: $36 each
(25 years)
Chopped chicken, roast beef, ground beef, turkey dices, ham dices, or sausage crumbles
Freeze dried shredded cheese: $31 each
(20 years)
Cheddar, Monterey Jack, or Mozzarella
Freeze dried yogurt bites: $28 each
(25 years)
Vanilla, cherry, passion fruit, pomegranate, strawberry, or blueberry
Vegetable variety 6 pack: $73 for all 6
(8 years carrots, 25 everything else)
corn, peas, broccoli, onions, carrots, potatoes
