One of the big areas of preparedness that people struggle with is what happens if/when the lights go out. And although this post is not designed to specifically answer what to do, it is designed to raise awareness. Cyber attack, EMP, or whatever else, there are definitely some interesting questions posed to the vulnerability of our country and what our representatives are (or are not) doing about it.

I spent the day listening and reviewing some interesting dialogue on the topic, and wanted to have a digital reference for myself to easily access these again in the future.
Jim Phillips from Safe Harbor Alliance is a 'gem of the preparedness industry', and if you haven't already checked out his website I would urge you to do so. He has a large archive of informative radio shows covering all areas of provident living, and also teaches numerous classes on preparedness.
This broadcast is basically an introduction to the Doug Fabrizio and Ted Koppel interview, but is a short (25 minutes) reminder of how easily something like this can happen. You can listen to that here:
If the Lights Went Out in America - Jim Phillips
The interview with Doug Fabrizio and Ted Koppel can be found here:

Thinking back to my last post, Ted Koppel surprisingly spends a fair amount of time during his interview talking about Mormons (members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints), and how their religious leaders have counseled them to be better prepared.
